The wonderful world that is Claythorpe Water Mill and Gardens is located in lush "wold's" countryside between Claythorpe and Aby, both a short distance from Lincolnshire's lovely coastline.
Here in this superb visitor attraction that truly does have "something for everyone" you can wander at will among over five hundred species of richly feathered wild birds who inhabit this magical watery oasis.
There is a pleasant woodland area with enchanted walks in lovely glades. Weather permitting, these secretive places offer the ideal opportunity to enjoy an outdoor picnic beneath the trees, or provide a place of rare tranquillity to get away from life's cares!
The mill is a joy to explore, it has a "Bygone Area" full of memorabilia to do with milling and agriculture, and in "Ye Old Bakery" you can see exhibits to do with the continuous history of milling and baking at Claythorpe Mill since its earliest inception right up to the 1970's when production, sadly, came to an end.
In this joyful place you can take your choice, you can have fun being entertained by the antics of the birds and waterfowl, visit the mill, do a spot of shopping in the two onsite shops, one with gifts and the other crammed with tempting, tasty delicacies, eat "al-fresco" in picturesque surroundings, or enjoy the delicious food available in the catering areas.
Claythorpe Water Mill and Wildfowl Garden is open daily from March to October.
